Solo Exhibition, Experience /2015
A project that speculates a future where the pollination service of the honeybee is severely compromised (Colony Collapse Disorder), and is instead taken over by tiny drones, also known as robo-bees (currently being developed by Harvard and MIT). Using objects, video, and sound as props, I created a loose framework of various speculative-fiction narratives in which people could use as a way to experience and navigate a believable, hypothetical future scenario.
The root of my project and the question I set out to answer is this: How can we make the future more visual, more tangible, more relatable, so that it can be more malleable, and so that we can shape it to become more desirable?
